Alia Wedderburn

Alia Wedderburn is an Educator with over 16 years experience in TVET. She holds an M.A. in Leadership in TVET and Workforce Development (UWI) and a B.Ed in Applied Technology (VTDI). She has represented Jamaica at skill competitions in the USA, Canada, Japan and as a researcher at WorldSkills London. In 2015, Alia was awarded first place in the UNESCO/UNEVOC Skills in Action competition for her dedication to TVET and in 2016, she participated, as a panellist, at the World Youth Skills Day in Bonn, Germany. Alia is the Head of the School of Aesthetics and Cosmetology at the Excelsior Community College, Jamaica.
